The following was reported by an XLR8 customer:

Corporate version of Symantec marked xlr8reconfig-1.1.0-windows.tar.bz2 as a potential virus.

Rest assured this was a false positive and the XLR8 Team submitted a report to Symantec. Symantec has since verified that our xlr8reconfig-1.1.0-windows.tar.bz2 is safe and they have whitelisted it in their Rapid Release definitions with a sequence number of 178007 or greater.

Thank you customer for reporting this issue,
    XLR8 Team

Antivirus protection is essential to protect your computer from virus and malware infections. Fordham Network Access Control (NAC) requires that all Windows computers have a supported antivirus package installed. If your Windows computer does not have a supported antivirus package installed, access to Fordham’s public network and the Internet will be limited.

    Hi Yousuf,

Can you clarify your comment? Are you also seeing the XLR8 reconfig download flag a potential virus alert?

    Thanks!
    Jason
